Pastor Paul Butler

Pastor Paul Butler is the Senior Pastor of Community Gospel Church. He is a graduate of Elim Bible Institute in Lima, New York. He and his wife Cindy served as missionaries in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire) for seven years, where he taught the Bible, trained church leadership and was involved with church planting. He and Cindy have been married for 22 years and have three sons.

Pastor Paul believes strongly that God has designed us to live in relationship with Him and with one another - “it’s what life is all about” - and that the church, as an expression of the family of God, should be a safe, welcoming place where people can be introduced to a relationship with Jesus Christ, find acceptance with others, and a place to belong and grow in faith. "I love being part of a church that really feels like a family, that has a great mix of people from different backgrounds, and where I can see God actively at work changing people’s lives. Community Gospel has been a great place for my family, and for me personally, to grow in our walk with God."

Pastor Jan Drayer

Jan and Leslie Drayer have served as church planters in the Philippines for the last 16 years. They returned to the States in late April 2008 and have joined the CGC family as of July 1. Jan and Leslie have been married for 24 years and have two children, Leah, and Jonathan, and one grandson.

Jan graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in 1991 with a bachelors degree focusing on world missions. Jan and Leslie are credentialed with Elim Fellowship.

Jan’s desire for this generation of Americans (in particular the greater Baltimore area) is that they would clearly see the relevance and radiance of God. Relevance in terms of how God is so essential and applicable to our lives here on earth. Radiance in terms of how the awe-inspiring character, attributes, and work of God can seen in His creation, in His Word (the Bible), and revealed by the Holy Spirit.
