Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a Bible-based ministry designed to bring freedom from the grip of life’s hurt’s, habits, and hang-ups in which we can so easily find ourselves trapped. The atmosphere is casual, Christ-centered and non-judgemental.If you’re tired of trying to "fix it" all by yourself, join us on Tuesday evenings from 7 - 9 p.m. Child-care is provided.
Street Outreach
Community Gospel is intent on reaching the lost with the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. One of the ways we seek to accomplish this “mission” is through our Street Outreach Ministry. The ministry is headed up by James and Darlene Butler and goes out
aways on the second Saturday of every month, meeting at church by 6:00 p.m. to help load the necessary items in the cars. We then go to a location in the park in Curtis Bay, Md., on Filbert Street and Pennington Avenue. We give out clothing, food, toiletry items and bibles and also someone preaches a message from the Gospel.
We meet the Thursday evening before the outreach at 7:00 p.m. for prayer ministry.
The outreach is really geared toward meeting the practical needs of the poor, homeless and the addicted in our communities by providing them with their practical needs and most importantly to have an open door to show Jesus to those who are hurting and in uncontrollable circumstances.
